Born and raised in Brampton, Ontario, multi-faceted musician Mrii grew up in a musical family, singing and performing from the age of 3.
Now she is poised to enter the music industry as a professional DJ, singer/ songwriter, rapper, producer, and engineer, hoping to be a torchbearer for other females.
Mrii became a professional DiscJockey in 2016, but soon realized she wanted more. That’s when ProdByMrii came to be and she began her journey as a producer and engineer, producing music for herself and other artists in her community. She is influenced by the Jazz, Hip-Hop and R&B genres, and takes inspiration from artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Drake, Wondagurl, Aaliyah and SZA.
In 2019, Mrii released her first single titled “Feelin’ Ways”. This song is very significant to her as she orchestrated the entire production process by herself.
